Colombia's Just Energy Transition Diagnostic and Roadmap Foundation (Undated)

Supporting the Roadmap and diagnosis are several analytical documents: 1) Scenario construction exploring potential future developments across economic sectors, incorporating assumptions about public policies aimed at reducing GHG emissions, decreasing fossil fuel consumption, fostering reindustrialization, and promoting non-conventional renewable energy sources (NCRE). 2) An analysis of sub-national energy potential and decarbonization opportunities, identifying production potential for NCRE sources like wind, solar, bioenergy, geothermal, hydroelectricity, and green hydrogen, alongside alternatives for decarbonizing final energy use. 3) A document detailing challenges and opportunities, developing strategies for implementing the energy transition from social, environmental, energy, and climate justice perspectives. 4) An investment assessment projecting costs for different energy scenarios across both energy supply and demand. The document outlines the scope and analytical basis for the transition but does not specify key obligations, affected sectors beyond energy and related economic activities, or set specific deadlines or compliance dates, as it serves as a diagnostic and roadmap framework.
